What separates
our camps from others?

Excellent GK Staff
NCAA players and coaches are always on our staff. In
the past few years, we have had staff coaches at our camps from the
Univ. of Michigan, Western Michigan Univ., Oakland Univ., UIC, and
Albion College---as well as from the Kalamazoo Kingdom of the semi-pro
PDL---to name a few...
Low Coach to Player Ratio
We believe in a player:staff ratio of 9:1 or less.
Classroom Technical Sessions
Before each field session, we spend time in the
classroom watching videos and studying proper technique. As such, our
campers have a clear image in mind of the actions and behaviors to
emulate once they take the field.
Video Analysis Sessions (optional)
We offer our campers the option of spending 30-60
minutes in a 1-on-1 training session while having the entire session
videotaped. Each camper then receives a copy of the video at the end of
camp, thus helping him/her learn how self-analyze and to self-coach.
Affordable Tuition!
Our GK Academy is often hundreds of dollars less
expensive than other goalkeeper-specific camps around the country, and
we are committed to keeping our costs down so as to ensure that our
camp experience is available to as many families as possible.
College Preparation and Scouting
Because we always have a top-notch staff on hand,
our campers get the opportunity to network with staff and get
additional exposure.
Our
Goalkeeping Academy staff works with two main goals in mind:
(1)
to develop consistent goalkeepers through attention to detail and through
the development of positive habits, and (2) to empower players to
critically analyze their own play, and thus learn the tools necessary to
self-coach.
